Key milestones
Cheam Fields has a proud history, celebrating its 110th birthday in 2024! While it is wonderful to have such a strong heritage, Cheam Fields Club now focuses on encouraging all of its members – young and older – to enjoy their sports and feel a true sense of belonging.

Enjoy Great Facilities
A major resurfacing project in 2022/2023 provided four new artificial grass courts, followed by the addition of two artificial clay courts in 2024. Floodlights were installed on three courts in 2019.
Cheam Fields Club celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2014 by building a tennis pavilion (pictured) and upgrading the main clubhouse.

The club organises a full calendar of social events throughout the year, including popular quiz nights, live music nights and special occasion celebrations. The clubhouse bar is open regularly.
Weekly evening events feature Wednesday Supper Nights, Friday games, and Darts League matches on a Tuesday. Plus, we have our own monthly Thursday Book Club.
During the winter months, Short Mat indoor bowls league matches take place on Monday evenings.

Pickleball and Other Activities
Pickleball is now well established at Cheam Fields Club. The club runs several regular midweek social playing sessions, attracting a growing number of players.
Weekly yoga classes are held in the Centenary Pavilion, offered at competitive rates by King King Tsang.
We also have a well-established bridge group for experienced players. Sessions take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the main clubhouse.
