Cheam Fields Club offers bowling for all levels, from relaxed social roll-ups to County and National competitions.
Weekly social roll-ups are a great way to play regularly and meet new people. You can also join our Thursday evening sessions for new bowlers, which provide an ideal introduction to the game.
For those who are competitive, our men’s, ladies’, and mixed teams play in a variety of leagues. Matches are played in good spirit and usually finish with a sociable drink, whether that’s a cup of tea or something stronger from the clubhouse bar.
There are opportunities to play in 21 internal club competitions throughout the bowls season (April to September), culminating in our Bowls Finals Weekend, held during the first week of September.
Share in our Competitive Success
Cheam Fields Bowls teams compete in various leagues and competitions throughout the season, including Bowls England and Bowls Surrey competitions for teams and individual players.
The men’s teams play in the East Surrey Bowls League, ESL Midweek League, TONS League and New Surrey Bowls League. Ladies’ teams compete in the East Surrey Bowls League, Cristal League, and the Smith Trophy League – an evening triples league ideal for those members who work during the day.
Our mixed teams represent the club in the Racal Decca Mixed League, and other teams participate in the Bowls England Top Club competition, and other County and National events.
In 2026, Cheam Fields bowlers will have the opportunity to take part in a new Mixed Evening Pairs League. Cheam FIelds is the founding member of this league, which gives new bowlers the chance to gain competitive experience in shorter-format matches playing alongside more experienced partners.
