Captains' Charity Day raises £621 for a great cause

What better way to close another great bowls season at Cheam Fields Club than with a Captains’ Charity Day on September 25? The event raised an amazing £621 for PSPA, a charity that supports people suffering from PSP and CBD disease, complex neurological conditions.

This charity is close to the heart of Men’s Captain, Paul Taylor and his family, and the money raised will support his niece’s marathon fundraiser.

The green was packed for a lively afternoon of bowls. It was a chance to test skills in a round-robin triples competition and join forces for fun spider, and heads and tails competitions.
The afternoon concluded with a raffle, prize-giving, and teatime treats.
