A great day out for Cheam Fields bowlers

Cheam Fields Club bowlers enjoyed a memorable visit to the Royal Hospital Chelsea for a match against the Chelsea Pensioners in June 2015. "We invited the Chelsea Pensioners to Cheam Fields to celebrate the Club's centenary and they kindly invited us for a return match,” says Ladies’ Match Secretary Jean Taylor.

“It was a fantastic game of four mixed rinks with plenty of laughs and many interesting stories.  Although the green was rather a challenge, we managed to win on all rinks.  Lunch was held in the Great Hall (designed by Sir Christopher Wren), which made a fantastic setting, followed by a drink together in the bar. It was a privilege to have the opportunity to meet our British Army veterans and share their amazing stories.”

Please take a look in the Photo Gallery for more images from this event.
