Bowls - Latest NEWSLETTER
Posted by angela james on 6 July 2023
THERE's lots going on at Cheam Fields Bowls this summer, with a variety of different social and competitive playing opportunities available for bowlers of all levels. Bowls members will find all the latest news in the June Bowls Newsletter which has recently landed in inboxes.
If you're not currently a member, why not consider joining up and joining in?
JUNE NEWSLETTER - A QUICK ROUNDUP
There are some fun initiatives going on at the moment, sparked by the return of the Cheam Fields Tennis vs Bowls match, being held on Sunday, 23rd July at 2.30pm. Whether you are supporting the bowlers or tennis players, why not bring family and friends and make an afternoon of it. There will be food and refreshments available.
Also, back by popular demand, are the 'Give Bowls a Go' sessions on a Thursday evening. These evenings are aimed at anyone who is thinking of taking up bowls, returning to bowls, or considering joining up. This is a great way to meet new people and learn the basics. The next series of Thursday dates will be published shortly - watch this space.
FREE COACHING
How's this for a great offer? Andrew Granat, who is a qualified coach, along with several of the Bowls Section's senior bowlers, are going to be offering some free coaching sessions to anyone who would like to improve their game.
FANCY A GAME OF GOLF?
Plans are afoot to organise a Cheam Fields Club golf afternoon at Cuddington Golf Club in October. The day will include an evening meal for players and their partners. If you play golf (any handicap) then please watch out for further details on the Club noticeboards.
BOWLS TOUR 2024
How about going on a Cheam Fields Bowls Tour next season? If this sounds like something that you'd enjoy, please register your interest by emailing Jan Healey.
Please enjoy a great summer at Cheam Fields Bowls everyone.
