CHEAM FIELDS Bowls is looking forward to a busy season ahead. With pre-season events starting in early April, it's not long to wait before bowlers will be back out on the green.

BOWLS MEMBERSHIP PACKAGES FOR 2023

Bowls memberships and renewals for the 2023 season will become payable on 1st April. Memberships offer great value for money and also include Social membership with a full calendar of events to enjoy.  Members will receive renewal information shortly. 

Why not come and join our fun and friendly Club? All Cheam Fields Club membership packages and fees for 2023/4 will be available to view on the website shortly.

 

OUT ON THE GREEN

The bowls green is already looking fantastic, thanks to the great winter work put in by the Bowls 'green team' volunteers - and a very swish new mower.

 

 

THE NEW SEASON STARTS HERE

Dates for bowls diaries include the Bowls pre-season meeting, which is being held in the clubhouse at 7.30pm on Monday, April 3rd.  A Ladies' Tea Afternoon will then take place on Thursday, 20th April.  The first bowls event of the season, a Mixed Spoon Drive, is planned for Saturday 22nd April, with a meal to follow in the evening.

There's a very busy season ahead for Cheam Fields men's and ladies' Bowls teams, with various leagues, cups, friendlies, district, county and national competitions to play.  So, lots of opportunities for everyone to join up and join in. Just keep signing up to take part and enjoy!

 

A NEW WAY TO BOOK BOWLS RINKS

It will shortly be possible to make bowls rink bookings for competition matches online using the LTA's ClubSpark booking system.  This is the online booking system used for the tennis courts.  This can be done using a desktop computer, or by downloading the ClubSpark app (available for iphone or android).  Bowls league and ballot matches will be entered in advance by the administrator.  There will be a demo and explanation at the pre-season meeting on 3rd April.

SHORT-MAT RESULTS FOR WINTER 2022/3

Congratulations to the winners of the winter short-mat league, the 'Backhanders' . They now go forward to the CUP FINAL on Monday 13th March against the 'Bad Girls, so please come and support on the evening.  The bar will be open from 7pm.

The short-mat bowls league takes place on Monday evenings throughout the winter at Cheam Fields. It's lots of fun for bowlers of all levels and also a chance for beginners to learn some basics.
