Return to Social and Coached Sessions following Lockdown - plus a new High Intensity Tennis workout session
How great is it to see Cheam Fields tennis courts back in action again after Lockdown 2. This is, of course, in line with Government and LTA guidelines that allows a return to play with previous rules back in place. Therefore social and coached sessions can resume. Further information on all of this can be found on the LTA website.
Social tennis sessions
All of our regular Social Tennis sessions have started up again, both daytime and under floodlights during the evenings. These organised sessions are run under the 'rule of six' requirements so please continue to follow all of the safety and social distancing rules. Please do come along and enjoy getting back into playing tennis again.
Please note: When accessing courts 1-3 you may use either the Pavilion gate on Devon Road, or the gate on Meadowside Road. Court 4 has its own access gate. The top gate should be used for access to courts 5 & 6.
Coaching sessions - including a new High Intensity workout on a Monday night!
Get fitter, get stronger, run faster - and hit loads of tennis balls. A new High Intensity tennis session is going to be starting up on a Monday night from 7th December. This session takes place from 6-7pm and is being run by David Baxendine. Please contact David if you would like to book a place. The cost is £10 per session.
Tuesday evening Team Coaching sessions with David Baxendine are also starting up again from Tuesday 8th December. The schedule reverts to the same rotation as before, with Ladies' 1s and Men's sessions starting things off; the Ladies' 3 and Ladies' 2 groups will restart on Tuesday 15th December.
Please note: Team Captains must contact David by the Friday evening of their allocated session to confirm numbers and court requirements. If no training is requested the courts will be opened up for open team practice.
