Key news highlights for July
General Tennis news
Court Resurfacing is a top priority and discussions on this significant project remain top of the agenda. The goal is for works to be completed in 2021.
Players are reminded to play safe - according to latest Club and LTA guidelines - and to keep the Club safe by ensuring that the courts are always left correctly secured.
A 'Clean Up' morning is being held on Saturday 14th August and volunteers are needed to help with a range of DIY and gardening jobs. If you can help please email.
The Wimbledon Sweepstake, run by Gemma Southam, raised an amazing £320 in total, and £180 has been donated to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The remaining money supported the prizes given to the Sweepstake's five lucky winners.
Junior Tennis
Excellent efforts from our Junior team players who are continuing to gain valuable match experience competing in the Surrey Junior League. Well done to all the parents and coordinators who are involved too, without whose help these matches wouldn't happen.
Junior and Teen Holiday Camps are taking place on a Monday to Thursday throughout August. Please book using the MDL Coaching app.
Senior Tennis
As usual there's lots going on including a full range of Summer social tennis activities. Plus ladies', men's, vets and mixed league matches in both the Surreys and Dorking&Leatherhead local leagues.
Make a date: the Club's Tennis Championships are taking place on Saturday 18th September.
