Key news highlights for October
General Tennis news
Court Resurfacing. This significant project remain top of the agenda and a separate update will be issued shortly.
Two key members of the Tennis Committee - Paul Taylor (General Committee Representative) and Alex Tresadern (Men's Captain and Tennis Chair) - have stepped down after many hugely valued years of service. Big thanks go to both of them. Vicky White now takes on the role of General Committee Representative and Nick Gyngell is taking over the role of Men's Club Captain.
The Tennis Section's highly successful annual Tennis Championships 2021 took place on Saturday 18th September. Full news report and images here.

Junior Tennis
The Club will be fielding Junior teams in the Junior Team Winter League trophy. To further support Junior team play some internal monthly match plays are being set up on a Saturday afternoon - a great way to prepare for matches and build confidence.
October half-term Junior/Teen coaching camps will run from Monday 25th October until Thursday 28th October. Sessions will take place from 9am-11am/12pm each morning, with Teen Tennis being held on Tuesday and Thursday of that week from 1pm-4pm. Please book using the MDL Coaching app.
Young Adults Tennis
The Monday evening session for Young Adults is extremely popular and very well supported. The lively session runs from 7pm-9pm (under floodlights) and is a great way to play tennis and socialise with friends. Please contact Lauren Waller for further information.
Senior Tennis
As usual there's been lots going on over the summer including a full range of social and coaching opportunities, plus ladies', men's, vets and mixed league matches in both the Surreys and Dorking&Leatherhead local leagues. Latest match results can be found in the newsletter and final league placings will be available shortly.
Beginners and improvers looking to play midweek tennis are really enjoying the new fun and friendly afternoon Social session taking place on a Thursday afternoon, from 1.30pm. These sessions are run by Emma Labrum and Sara Tresadern.
Also aimed at beginners and improvers, a NEW Tuesday (12 noon to 1pm) midweek group daytime coaching session has been launched. This session is being run by Club coach Rachel Buwalda.
