Tennis - doubles returns in latest phase of restart

WHILST many Cheam Fields tennis players will be jumping for joy at the news doubles can resume, this is very much a controlled and managed return to play. All safety and social-distancing requirements remain strictly in place.
In line with the Club's latest 'Return to Tennis Phase 3' guidelines (see below) emailed to all Members on 8th June - doubles can now be played again at Cheam Fields. This is in accordance with the LTA's 'Return to Managed Play' guidelines and the detailed Government advice issued on 31st May on the 'Phased Return of Outdoor Sport and Recreation'.
Please do take a read through the Club's latest guidelines so you are fully aware of requirements.
Key points - and main changes
- Courts in use (UPDATED 15th June) are now 1,3, 4 and 6. Courts 1 and 3 should be accessed using the Meadowside Road gate. Courts 4 and 6 to be accessed by their respective court gates on Devon Road. The pavilion area is out of bounds and the access gate should not be used.
- Doubles can now be played, please follow all the safety and social distancing guidelines. The LTA has updated its advice for players. And of course please do not attend if you are feeling unwell with Covid symptons, have been asked to self-isolate or quarantine following overseas travel.
- Courts must be booked through the ClubSpark booking system. Members can now book courts for up to three hours a week - but can also play on sessions booked by other players.
- Don't forget to bring plenty of water and please take everything home when you leave.
