Tennis Finals Day 2023 RESULTS

What a great 2023 Cheam Fields Tennis Finals Day on Saturday, 1st July! Of course, it didn’t pass without its fair share of on-court excitement and drama. Players of the future wowed the crowd and former champions were also in the mix, providing some skilled and very competitive tennis for everyone to enjoy.
Spectators enjoyed a fabulous afternoon of tennis and family fun, with a BBQ, Pimm’s stand, afternoon tea and homemade cakes to help keep everyone refreshed and cheering loudly.
The new champions for 2023 (below) are all deserving winners, so big congratulations to them.

Unfortunately, the men’s singles final was not played on the day due to illness but is scheduled for 23rd July. Please make that a date for your diaries and come and support the finalists – Andrew Buwalda and Andrew Holmes.
Special thanks to Alex Tresadern and Santi, the losing semi-finalists, who stepped in on the day with an inspiring display of high-quality, competitive men’s singles tennis. Their match was a nail-biter, which went to Alex on a championship tie-break.
Finals Day is a highlight of the tennis year at Cheam Fields. Lots of hard work goes on behind the scenes and on the day to make this event such a success. A huge thank you goes out to our fantastic Tennis Committee, Club volunteers and members, who all give their time to make this day so special.
